A Royal Moment

I have been a Steward and/or Judge in the Poultry Section of every Sydney Royal since 1983. An abiding memory from these years is the time that HRH Princess Anne officially opened the Show.

I was invited by the then Steward-in-Chief of Poultry & Pigeons, the late David White, to be one of the small group to escort the Princess through the Poultry Pavilion. It was an honour for me to accompany HRH and to engage in conversation with her about the exhibits, in which she displayed a keen interest and a good knowledge of poultry.
