2018 Cattle Show Ribbons for Walsh Brothers

The Walsh family, owners of Ruby Park Limousins, joke that you can tell Harry and Campbell’s ages by how many Sydney Royal Easter Shows they have attended but 2018 was different – it was the first Show the two young boys attended as exhibitors, showing cattle they had prepared for competition themselves. At just 11 and 9 years of age the boys spent twelve months prepping - brushing and washing the cattle after school and getting the cows used to them… and practising holding the cow’s head high, keeping legs neatly inline, scratching the belly to keep it calm – and remembering to smile at the judges.

Both boys won ribbons, making mum and dad exceptionally proud and producing massive grins that lasted weeks on the boy’s faces.
