Woodchopping & Sawing
The annual Sydney Royal Woodchopping & Sawing Competition attracts Australian and international competitors who compete in multiple different disciplines, all chasing title wins including world championships.
Woodchopping competitions at the Sydney Royal Easter Show are a thrilling spectacle of strength, skill and tradition. The cadenced sound of axes striking the wood echoes throughout the stadium as competitors race against the clock and each other. Each swing is a testament to precision and power, honed through years of practice.
Across 11 days of competition, athletes are welcomed from all over the world to see if they have what it takes to make it to the top of the podium. With over 60 events to take place including 7 World Championship events this is one not to be missed.
Show goers will be given the opportunity to witness this iconic sport up close, as over 150 Men, Women & Children compete for not only the glory but a chance to take home a share of the cash prizes on offer and with $250,000 up for grabs.
