Definitions

Stabling Manager means the Person who is nominated on the Application for Entry and will be responsible for all stabling administration. The Stabling Manager is the reference point for stabling of multiple Exhibits from different Exhibitors together where possible.

a) The Exhibitor is responsible for the care and control of the Exhibit on the Showground and compliance with the RAS Rules and Regulation.

b) If the legal owner of the Exhibit is different to the Exhibitor, the legal owner/s must be listed on the Application for Entry ('the Owner').

c) The Owner/s may be jointly responsible for the care and control of the animal and be brought into Disciplinary Proceedings at the RAS of NSW discretion.

d) If an Exhibit is sold after the entry has been made the RAS of NSW must be notified in writing with a payment of $60.00. The seller or the purchaser may make the notification, no later than 14 days before the date of Exhibition.

Exhibitor means for each Competition, the Person on whose behalf an Application for Entry is lodged with and accepted by the RAS of NSW, and includes the representatives and agents of an Exhibitor. Person includes a natural person, firm, partnership, company or corporation. The following is an example of three different Exhibitors in one Competition representing partnerships made up of different persons:

  1. Smith, Jones & Clarke
  2. Smith, Taylor & Johns
  3. Smith, Taylor, Johns & Clarke

If Exhibits are entered under a partnership, the same name should be placed at the beginning of each partnership as shown above.

Please note:

  1. There is no longer a need to use the Exhibitor name for stabling purposes as the Stabling Manager will be used for this purpose.
  2. The Owner is not required to be the Exhibitor or form part of the Exhibitor name.

Hendra Virus and QLD Tick information

All QLD postcodes will be required to provide QLD Tick acknowledgement.

All exhibits from Hendra endemic postcode areas must be vaccinated for Hendra Virus. The postcodes for endemic areas change relative to Hendra Virus outbreaks and the list will be updated accordingly and can be found on the Exhibitor information page.

It is not a requirement by the RAS of NSW that all horses need to be vaccinated for Hendra Virus. You may view the Hendra Policies and Procedures document on the Exhibitor information page.
