The concept of Junior Farmers Clubs dates back to about 1924. The first organised meeting was held in the RAS rooms on 16 November 1926, with RAS members present.
Mr Brakewell & Mr J.W. Webb & Mr G.M. Blacklock are credited with the intiial formation of clubs, and the first registered club was at Glen Innes, registered on 28 November 1928. From then, there was quite rapid development of clubs through NSW so that by 1930 there were over 50 clubs & 1000 members.
The first Show camp was held from the 15 - 22 April 1930. Such camps were held continuously from 1930, except for a two year break during the war years.
