2022 - Peter Spackman
Peter Spackman was the RAS Trophy Supervisor for 36 years. Starting in the members stand checking member entry, he moved to the Council Stand where he assisted with presentations and organising the trophies during the Royal Easter Show. Managing the prestigious trophies for equestrian competitions, he always had them ready to present on cue and often this involved managing up to five competitions simultaneously. He was a mentor and a friend and always ready with a helping hand. In 2022 he passed away during the RES and fittingly was named that year as a Show Legend.
