2015 - George Bennett
Born in Muswellbrook, NSW, George Bennett became a Junior Farmer Club member and attended the Junior Farmer Show Camp at the RES in 1941 before being awarded a scholarship to attend Hawkesbury Agricultural College, where he also later taught. He was a Judge and Exhibitor at the RES for over 60 years and coordinated Cattle competitions for over 25 years. A passionate contributor to agricultural youth education, he became the RES Contributor of the Year in 1990 and was awarded the 2015 Show Legend title.
