2006 - Darrel Bishop  

For over 50 years Darrel Bishop contributed widely to the Royal Easter Show and took out many awards including Supreme Champion Angora Goat and Dairy Goat for 10 consecutive years. He was the force behind the development of the Boer Goat industry in Australia through his promotion of the inclusion of the Boer Goat section in the RES and was a promoter also of the Alpaca section. Darrel donated animal stock to the Animal Nursery, conducted educational trips to schools, and provided stock and produce to different elements of the Show. As Boer Goat Breed Captain he always provided crucial assistance to the RAS coordinator during Show time.  In 2004 he was deservedly named Contributor of the Year and in 2006 Show Legend.
