2003 - Jimmy Sharman  

Born in the Riverina town of Narrandera, NSW in 1912, Jimmy Sharman first came to the Royal Easter Show in 1926 when he spent a week working for his father as part of the colourful Jimmy Sharman’s Boxing Troupe. The famous boxing tent established by Sharman senior in 1911, went on to form a hugely popular part of the Australian Show landscape for over seven decades and Jimmy became the RES Show Legend of 2003.
