2001 - Frank Foster
Legend of the Show carnival, Frank Foster (centre in photo above) was born to a showman father who travelled all over Australia. Having worked as an acrobat, spruiker, and even as a performing Indian, Frank was also responsible for a long list of sideshows, from flea circuses to Sampson the Strong Man. An innovator who travelled extensively overseas to bring new and exciting carnival attractions to Australian fairgrounds, he also passed his passion for Show traditions onto his family and became an inaugural Show Legend in 2001.
