Agricultural Shows Awards

Overview & Eligibility

The Royal Agricultural Society of NSW (RAS) is proud to introduce the Agricultural Shows Award medal, designed to celebrate and honour the exceptional contributions of individuals within the Show movement across NSW. This prestigious medal embodies our commitment to regional communities and the local Show movement in NSW.  

Each year, every Show Society in NSW has the chance to nominate a deserving individual who has made a meaningful contribution to their Show Society. We encourage all Shows to complete the application to help us recognise and celebrate the invaluable role that regional Agricultural Shows play—not only in advancing Australian agriculture, but also in strengthening their local communities. Let’s honour these achievements together! 

The RAS recommends the recipient be announced and presented to during your Agricultural Show. Shows may request a representative of the RAS attend your Show to present the Award. 

Shows are encouraged to apply for the medal each year and applications for 2025 must be received: 

  • 1 December 2024 - Applications due for Shows that will be held between January to June 2025 
  • 1 June 2025 - Applications due for Shows that will be held between July to December 2025 

Applying is simple. 

Please complete the online application form , providing as much detail as possible about your Show’s nominee.

A representative of the RAS will be in touch to confirm your application.
